Hi, I had a problem with my PC concerning an error in boot with hal.dll and was forced to reinstall windows xp but it installed on a different partition which was drive D, btw this drive was previously drive c but after the error it became drive D. After i reinstalled XP i found out that all files were still there but the registry and drivers were all wiped.
My friend advised me to reformat the system instead so itll not cause any problems anymore. Im planning to install vista but i want it on my Drive C, so can i install vista on my current drive C while xp is still on drive D. Then just reformat the D partition after? TY in advance
