Installing windows 7?

Hi people, I need your help!My computer is HP Compaq dc 7100 CMT. Currently on my computer is installed windows xp , now i would like to install windows 7(i have read other forums and there was problem with audio and graphic drivers) , but i don't know is that smart so i am asking you what do you think ?
System specification : 2 gb ram,
Intel Pentium 4 2,8 Ghz,
 
Stay with XP on that machine. You would actually have worse performance if you put 7 on it.
 
I am sorry, but i will have to Disagree here, Windows 7 would run just fine on that computer with those specks.. I am using an older Dell with the same specks, but have less ram and it runs good.. You can always fine tune Windows 7 to run even better..
