so ya... as im finishing up trimming this win XP pro, for my USB installation, i was wondering if you have any thoughts on network booting? as far as mounting my cd on my PC and installing windows off of my PC to my tablet, wat do u think? will it work? anyone have done this before? thanks in advace!
How would you install windows with no CD drive or floppy drive?

I think you can install windows from a network, except when windows finishes the text mode part and reboots to go into the graphicall part of the install....you will lose the network when windows reboots. The only way you can do an install across a network is with an image.

can u explain more? unfortunately my USB boot to install windows failed.. and no im stuck till i get an external cd drive.. which i cant get till next week.. dammit! any ideas?

you can copy all your file to computer than you run the program that you want to install...or u can make sharing with someone laptop..

it sure is, I 1st used my desktop to install win 7 to my tablet by a network boot, found out that link got terminated after the 1st installation part, then i used my OLD external cd drive to reinstall win 7 and it worked perfectly. The only thing that bugs me is the stylus, i want to use my FINGERS! but i guess that wont work.. :good:
