Installing XP Pro

[Vintage Computer]

Trying to install XP Pro on a computer that had XP Home, hard drive went south.
Installed and partitioned new hard drive, loaded XP Pro and it can not find the on board ethernet.

Mother board is Intel D945GPT

Any ideas?

that shows 1394 connection connected but trying network diagnostics it states "Windows could not detect any wired or wireless cards on your machine"

Get the Driver from the motherboard, or computer manufacture. It is common that XP won't have all the drivers needed when installing Windows.

I downloaded PROWinx64 and tried to install, got message: "This package is not supported on this platform or operating system" os is XP Pro

I have spent hours on intel site but they want you to download straight to the problem computer and it will not go on line.

you need prowin32. you have XP 32 bit.

Thanks just tried the 32 bit before I came back here and it worked!
