hello all. I was wondering if any one could answer this question.

when im on my computer and I have IM open , - can people in my contact list look at what websites I am on or have open.. or can they see what files I have open etc.

thanks for your help in advance.
 
Depends, what instant messanging program are you using? Do you have a router/firewall? As far as I know, no - people cant see what files you have open or where you are on the internet. But if I rememeber correctly, Windows Messenger does have an option to allow other people to view whats on your monitor, but both you and the person your talking to have to press "I agree" and you can exit it anytime by pressing Esc...
 
I don't think it is possible. The only way I think it can happen is if you have a webcam and you want to show the person. Assids that, I don't think it is possible unless there is an option in Windows Live Messenger that does that but I don't think there is.
