Instructions To Build Desktop? (First Gaming Rig)

i need some instructions putting it together, an acquaintance was gonna help me build it, but I'm getting I'm patient , cuz I'm getting all my parts today :D





I'm pretty sure i can build it once i get passed wiring up the motherboard and the power supply.


all the other stuff is like the same thing as upgrading a prebuilt right? (inserting video card, sound card, ram, hard drives. etc etc
 
building a computer system is pretty easy and can be done in 10 minutes, the part that takes the most time is actually installing the stuff on it, ie the OS

For a first time builder it will take you closer to 2 hours if you do everything as described by the Newegg video and being careful like you should. Windows 7 took me about 7 minutes to install, but getting all the programs and stuff took a while. Especially because I had to download most of it.
 
Read the manuals in and out, follow them like a bible! The motherboard manual has a lot of information on where stuff goes and how to install and set it up. When I was starting out, some of it was common sense but a lot of it was learning about where cables and wires went by looking at the diagrams and instructions. Most are easy to follow, just ground yourself and get a screwdriver - the rest is straightforward.
 
I would view the video that was posted and also look into the manual book. The video does provide great information on building a computer.

10min, come on. You just can't throw hardware in, especially when it's high-end. When I ordered my parts for my gaming rig(in sig), it took me 1-2 hours to assemble everything, including cable management, but only took 15-20 to install OS/Software(gotta luv SSD's).

OP-Just take your time, make sure it's done right. It's more of an enjoyment when assembling a PC, and the feeling of accomplishment is great. And the best part is..You can show that bad boy off to family and friends, and be like,"Yeah, that was me, I built that", and it feels great!
