i have a doom series case and a a8n sli deluxe motherboard, the case has a cable with four pins, how do i connect this, it is for the light around the case in the front, do i connect it to the power supply or the mobo, is there a splitter or something i can use to connect this cable. thank you

I don't know your exact case, but if the lights are for displaying when the hard drive is working then they plug into the motherboard, if it is just a light that stays on all the time, it should plug directly to the power supply

the light is the one that goes around the door that i have to open everytime i want to insert a cd into the drive. the cable has a 4 pin connector. i dont know if im suppose to connect it to the power supply.

The power and activity LEDs? They plug into the motherboard. The motherboard manual will tell you where. Be aware that they are polarised, and will only work if they're plugged in the right way.

He is referring to the blue light on the door. :)

Ah, now I see what you mean. Yes, it plugs into the PSU, usually via a standard molex (the same connection used for CD-ROM, etc...). It's sometimes a little difficult to get in, and you may need to jiggle the cables around a bit.
