Integrated graphic card

Hi, i've been getting blue screens about my graphic card. (i didn't install one YET) then after 5~6th one, the monitor can't seem to connect to my computer. I feel like that my integrated card has been overheated/ burned.

Power works, because fans/lights come on. The lights on my motherboard work as well ( the small red ones). so I'm not sure if the mother board is fried up or not.

Please help me figure out if my motherboard is DEAD or ALIVE. lol
I really don't want to buy another motherboard...

Also if i just buy a graphic card and plug it in, will everything work normally?


I have biostar motherboard, 1090T x6, 1tb sata hd, 6gb ram, etc etc

Your first step would be to try a different monitor if you have an extra one (or a TV if it has the proper connections).

If you haven't installed a video card yet, what do you mean by after the 5~6 one?
 
I think he means the fifth or sixth bluescreen. With regards to the original post, I think that if it was the integrated graphics (not saying it is but if it was) than chances are it's not the only thing that's messed up. I wouldn't risk it (buying a graphics card) as one faulty part on the motherboard may affect other parts and considering your graphics card would be attached to your motherboard it may mess it up as well resulting in a broken mobo and gpu. I say just spend 100 bucks or so and buy a new mobo. If I were you though I don't know if you game or all I say you just buy a dedicated graphics card as well A nice hd 5770 is a great card for the price. But whatever I kind of went off on a tangent. (If you're going to get a graphics card get a mobo by the way)

By the way, don't link to other posts like Troncoso said it can get you banned.
 
assuming your a normal pc user (not a major gamer) you could try a graphics card, you can get a normal users graphics card for under 10$ on amazon, not saying that it would work but you could try it.
 
To the OP

Please remove the cmos battery from your motherboard and disconnect the power cable for 5 minutes. Replace mobo battery and power cable and try again. If that works, enter your bios and set default settings. Restart and re enter the bios and ensure the boot priority is correct. Enter windows and download PC wizard from my sig. Run it and go to file, save as, and click ok. Copy the text out of that file and post it into this thread. Also take note of the exact PSU model and brand and post that here too.
 
I did what you told me to do and now my cpu fan won't run (the other 5 fans on the case run) and my monitor still can't find my computer...
 
And I actually do play games, but on all low settings. LOL. I was going to invest in a GPU, but haven't yet... until this happened. I think my motherboard is pretty much done...... which bigfella will prob agree... Time to spend 100 for mobo and another or two for GPU. I love my life.
 
really you can play any game on a 60 buck gpu, on low res and shaders at least normally, and ebay is good for gpu's, but for a mobo you can get one off newegg for 60 that'll work, won't do everything the others will but'll do all if not more than you need. and do the gpu first, but i'd check a new or old but working psu first cuz i had a prob where everything started but nothing on screen and only diff than normal was cpu fan didn't slow down after a sec, new psu and it was fixed, i think bigfella was the one who helped me, he may be able to confirm or deny
