Intel build Suggestions

So im helping my buddy pick out some parts for his build and im not to comfortable with intel processors and boards just trying to get some advice on which board to get. so far had the i5-3570k his budget isn't really set yet but around 2000$

Any suggestions would be appreciated

For that price you are looking at upper end boards. mPower MSI, UP7 or G1 sniper 3 for Gigabyte. Maximus 5 Extreme or P8Z77-V Premium for Asus.

all great boards for sure. if you wanted to spend a little less, then you would still be getting good performance. out of them, id go with the gigabyte boards. as far as the gtx 680 2 gig, id go with the gtx 670 4 gig. will benefit from the added ram for this coming years games perhaps, and will help with higher resolutions. as far as the power supply, id go with this one over the corsair. better and cheaper. i have used many of these and they are great. the unit never gets warm, no moatter what im doing....

other than that, id say your good. if your going to overclock, ten id say get the antec khuler 920...its awsome....keeps my i7 3770k nice and chilled running it at 4.6Ghz.....
