Hi guys, anyone have overclock this processor?
Just want to ask hay far it will go and if i oc the ram timing also go up is this normal? Since i only have basic ram no heatspreader at all.
Because as i know if ram is oc as well the temp will go up, right.

I've tried to oc it from 1.86 ghz to 2.00 ghz and the ram speed automaticly increase from 667 to 715 since i use linked config, until now theres no problem.
But still afraid if the ram get burn out.

If you are worried about the RAM drop it's speed setting by 1 (to 533). If your system is still completely stable the RAM is probably fine.

To 533? Isn't to low, or just the ratio setting? initial setting would be 667.
Any reason? Because its my 1st time to oc so i don't quite understand.

The setting it's at now is 667 so whatever it's at now lower it by 1, but only if you are worried about your RAM burning out. If you think it's ok (and if everything is stable it should be fine) then you can leave it.

You're initial thought above was right, RAM frequency rises with the FSB. By lowering it you can afford yourself some extra headroom when overclocking.

You don't have to worry much about your ram. As long as you don't put much more than 2.1V in it, you'll be fine (2.1V is fine sustained, but you shouldn't keep it at 2.2+V for a long period of time). You can't really destroy your ram unless you put too many volts in it. Check your timings, and make sure they are 5-5-5-15, and the voltage is 2.1V, and you should get somewhere in the DDR2-800+ range. My Corsair memory tops at DDR2-900 @ 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V, or around DDR2-796 @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1V.

What happen if i don't rise the ram voltage? The same goes to processor i didn't rise the voltage when oc.
About ram timings the higher it goes the better performance it get, is it right?
Initial mine 5-5-5-15 when oc to 715mhz automaticly goes to 5-6-6-17.

You raise the voltage when the CPU or RAM requires more power for overclocking. I suggest you only overclock at stock voltages.

Oh just to remind i only have basic ram no heatspreader, is it ok to oc it?
If possible i just want to oc the processor only leaving the ram as-is, but if i do that it seems the system get slow down as it like no sync between them.
