Intel C2D temperatures

I have an Intel C2D E6600, and it's currently idling at around 43 celcius. It seems pretty warm for me. I've heard most people get around 35-38 with their stock cooler. Does anyone know a good way to increase the speed of my stock cooler. I have an Intel DP965LT MB, but the BIOS doesn't help with increasing the speed that much
 
I dont remember what mine was stock, but overclocked it was around 48-50C idle, and 55-60C load.
