Intel Celeron D 2.93GHz 340 ?

i dont no actually why they did that they should of chose a new letter or maybe they didi it to trick poeple to buy it then relise its a singel core arhhhhh and they scream and they wimp and they cant do anything about it

I was just wondering, the pentium D is a duel core though right? Well anyway I am happy, it is so much faster than my old computer that was a P4 1.8ghz. I play some games and have no problems but I mostly use my pc for video editing and office type work and it works great!

The D denotes that the Celeron in question has a Prescott core and is used to distinguish it from its Northwood counterparts

I think that the D is dirty marketing ploys buy intel.
Maybe, but it doubt it. I think intel would like to keep the dual core line up and the budget line up as seperate as possible. :)
