Intel Celeron M Processor

Has anyone used the newer Intel® Celeron® M Processors? I haven’t really like Celerons performance over the years but theses are looking a little better. I'm helping a friend who is looking for a budget laptop.

Ummm... Celeron, as a rule, sucks. If he has any kind of budget, get a Core Duo.

*sigh* a budget is there for a reason and a core duo probably will not fulfill that budget.

the celeron m is the single core entry level laptop processor from intel. it really depends what you ewant to do with the system. if you are after a budget system, then naturally go for the budget option (the celeron) though if you can stretch slightly to a pentium m, maybe even the 1.6ghz or 1.8ghz, you will have a better processor, now is a good time to buy, because these will no longer be continued, as new laptop processors such as core duo have arrived
