Intel centrino ultimate-N 6300 driver

Hello.
I wrote here a few weeks ago about a problem with my wifi card from killer gaming.. i was unable to fix the wifi card so i bought an intel centrino ultimate-N 6300 instead..
I just got it, and it works, but it seems a little slow, so i installed the intel drivers and the intel pro-set drivers..
when i installed the drivers, it showed an intel wifi logo, and after it disapeared the drivers where installed.. but the card was still slow..
I can find the place that the drivers are installed, but they dont seem to have an interface or anything - can this be true? Have i installed the drivers wrong, or is it true that they dont have an interface or any settings to play with?

Did you download this driver? Assuming you are using windows 7 64bit.

How fast is your internet speed from your provider?

Yes i did - just the win 8 version of it
My speed is 100/100.

Go here and do a speedtest.

I deleted all the drivers and installed them again - now it seems to work.. speed test gave 80/75
But i know have a new problem - games in steam, and normal programs seems to be blocked from using the internet.. this worked befor i installed this new wifi card - what could cause this?

You must have a firewall installed that is blocking them. You have to configure it correctly or disable the firewall.
