I have read sticky's motherboard 101 because Im having a problem with my motherboard. Wondering if anyone else has this problem, I gota new saphire radeon x1950 xt card, its areally nice card... heres a pick of my mobo.

My card is so wide that my pci-e slot is so far down that I cant get it in, Should I get a new mobo or a new video card?

Anyone know a motherboard that is perfect for my specs.

Pentium D 2.8.. 2gb corsair pc 6400 I think... 480 Power.... Intel intel 945 chipset... gateway media edition case gt5012

Your card has a 2 slot cooler right? Usually they don't work in BTX cases, you'll have to find a single slot cooled card.
 
1 slot

are there any 1 slot video cards that will do the job as well?

:rolleyes: your prolly not fitting it right, my brother has a 7900 gtx in his hp :D


it took like 10 mins to fit it, it was kinda tricky, dont know why, my card went in in like 30 secs
 
He has a BTX case so those boards wont fit. He is trying to install it right the problem is the BTX design, the easiest thing to do is get a card that only has a single slot fan.
 
Thanks for all your help, The price for good card that fits is way more expensive, this card I got for 220.. It was a steal.. Thank you guys for all your help
