Intel Conroe

Things are looking good if all the hype is to be believed. Interesting how intel are looking a measuring performance by reference to power useage. Its a good stratergy, since by comparison to the current p4's its easy to look good.
Main question is how these will stack up against the amd64 (and x2's) for power per watt.

An interesting line at the bottom
Next year, Intel should have a kick ass chip that should be fantastic for gaming, whilst keeping power and heat to a minimum
I dont think that gaming is where intel was mainly aiming with this. But it will be interesting - i assume they're not taking the memory controller on die (i think something like that would have been leaked by now)

I believe the on-die controller is in the works, and the P-M already competes on a performance-per-watt level and assuming they take the good things of the P-M with the goods of the P4 it should be a solid chip.

Hell the P-M competes on a performance, watts be damned level too. Hopefully Yonah fixes the floating point "issues" of P-M
