Well, I actually wanted to buy a Intel Core2Quad Q6600 within the next days.. but now i realized i only got a Vista Ultimate 32 BIT Version.. and Quad technology is constructed for 64 BIT, no? I'm not sure.. could someone tell me please if i'd have 100 % CPU Power, although im running a Quad with a 32 BIT Vista Ultimate Version?

4 GB Ram aren't working with 32 BIT.. you only get like 3,25 GB then.. i wondered if it's the same shit with Quad CPUs..

Please help me! :)

All of the Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, Athlon 64's, X2's, Pentium 4 6xx, Pentium D 9xx, and many others are all 64 bit.

So to answer your question, you don't need a 64 bit OS to use a 64 bit CPU. Both 32 and 64 bit versions are able to utilize quad cores.

As for RAM, thats a limitation of 32 bit OS's, so no matter what CPU you use, you will only be able to use ~3.2GB of RAM.

You could run that CPU with Winblows '98 and it would work.
Just to make sure you know that the new Intel 45nm are coming out in about 2 months (January) so the Q6600 will be cheaper and new ones will be better.
