Great motherboard, especialy for conroe, just makes sure it's at least rev 304, although your pretty much guaranteed to. Otherwise you'll need to hardmod it to be able to run conroe. Its a good overcloker, although if you're really die hard you once again might need to do some modding to unleash its full potential: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=99298

As long as you get one of the newer revesions though you won't need the above mods.

That mobo has about the longest name ive ever seen... it looks good, but thats a very high price for a motherboard.

tha name that it has is the chipset and mobo name in one
im not sure why intel does that but they do and yeah the price is in canadian dollars and it recently dropped from 355 - 317

Currently it's my board of choice if that means anything. It will run any of Intels older CPUs (for LGA775) and as already stated newer revisions support conroe natively older ones need some soldering.

at first i was looking at this Intel Server Motherboard that was almost as good as this one but now that i found this one it might as well go with this one i can put more memory and it has support for more processors and has more interface slots
