I don't really see any need of upgrading if you own an Ivy bridge CPU. They are just concentrating on TDP and that isn't much needed on desktops. But the reduction in leakage current is good.
 
Regular desktop on 84W, not bad. Highest turbo 3.9, ok I guess. Kinda odd that they will by default just support DDR3 1600. I mean I know it will probably clock higher. AMD default now is DDR3 1866 and have heard Steamroller default will support DDR3 2133
 
I hope amd's steamroller gonna something great, because It's important that there's a bit of competition, so there will be faster new improvements.
