The FX series is in second placeAMD's flagship processor is the Athlon 64 X2. Dual-core, and second place behind the C2D. But, being 2nd place, it's cheaper.
It certainly has, but that doesn't mean that we can't answer it again.i think this has been answered hundreds of times, but im not sure
For that budget, get an Athlon 64 3500, maybe a 3200 or a 3800.build a computer that is under400-500 so how much do you think I should spend on the cpu? I dont play games alot but I do sometimes and when I do I want it to work. should I just use an intel cpu that can handle the games Im playing?
nicccccccccccccce, i really liked it.[/LIST]

Actually...Here's how it goes:
QX6700
C2D
FX
X2
PD
A64
P4
Sempron
Celeron
We're talking about current desktop processors here, not obsolete and mobile. And the core duo is not better than the FX.Core 2 Quadro
Core 2 Duo
A64 FX 4x4
Opteron X2 Socket F
Core Duo
A64 FX X2
Opteron X2 939+AM2
A64 X2
Core Solo
PD
Opteron 939+AM2
A64 939+AM2
P4 478 (After Pressy)+775
A64 754
AXP
P4 478 (Pre Prescott)
Sempron
Celeron
depends on the FX... the highest CD will crush the FX62
