Intel Pentium Dual-Core or intel core 2 duo

so I'm looking to but a new laptop and have it narrowed down to 2 different models, every where i read said i should get more processor speed when i buy my laptop because i can add to the ram later, so i have it narrowed down to one with Intel Pentium dual-core processor t3400 with 2.16GHz and 4GB of ram, and the other is intel core 2 duo t6400 with 2GHz and 4GB of ram. what one should i go with, i need it to be relatively fast and not take away to much from my battery life. i do a lot of movie and song watching, listening, and editing.

core 2 duo is more efficient per clock, has lower power consumption too.

The core 2 duo has a larger cache etc, it is faster than the 2.16Ghz pentium dual core.

160MHz doesn't make much of a difference, the C2D however is a much better choice due to the faster bus, more cache, etc.

The Pentium Dual Cores share a bus. = bottleneck.

Core 2 all the way.
