Intel price drop

ok guys, I have been hearing about this " price drop" and I know I said that I wasn't waiting, but what can I expect to drop.... just the CPU/? or more??? I will post my public wish list of my build and can you all lemme know what is gonna drop... thanks

I will order what is not dropping and wait in the rest... OOO is it ONLY dropping online or in stores as well??

Just the cpu, and yes only online shops are reducing prices the rest of retail shops will keep the price regardless if there's a price drop or not

I would say mostly just online shops would, but im sure retail stores will lower the prices as well, but probably not as much, and it probably wont be for a while after online retailers drop the prices.

Depends on the processor, but I know the Q6600 is dropping from $530 to $266 or so.
 
holy crap thats a drop... may have to rethink my processor.... right now its the E6420 at 2.13... price 186.00 I hope it drops huge!!! lol then I can buy a better monitor or GPU later on

Retails wouldn't since they would be "winning" money by not doing it and you know that there's people who would rather pay more just for being "secure" that's the product they receive etc

Im not saying they are going to drop to Intel's MSRP right after the drop, but I would say within a month or two after Intel drops the prices, stores will lower the prices a bit as well. Because after all, if they didnt lower the prices, then you could still buy Pentium 4's for $300+, lol
 
any idea when the price drops will come to the uk, i just checked and the q6600 is still nearly £300 which needs to drop a lot! lol
