Intel Q6600 overclock question

Hi!
My CPU is overclocked from stock 2.4 Ghz to 3Ghz.My mobo is MSI P7N SLI Platinum.I`m using Zalman CNPS9500LED CPU cooler and my idle temps are:

I have run Intel Burn Test and the CPU temp is on 100% load:

My question is are the temps to high?
 
At 100% load those temperatures are fine. :) They're nothing to worry about. The temps at idle are good too.

I try to push my CPU on 3.2Ghz.I have noticed that when I lower the multiplier I get better temps..
My CPU is q6600 G0 revision with stock voltage:1.24V
My settings in BIOS are for 3.2Ghz:
400x8
1600FSB
RAM settings on stock (800Mhz)(1.9V stock voltage)
PCI-E 100
I have added +0.0375V to CPU and this makes it to 1.28V
VTT FSB :1.328V
NB:1.4V
SB:1.5
But something is not right and this was the problem with my previous overclock as well..
I have tested it both times with Intel Burn Test successfully.But while playing any games like BF 3 keeps freezing and shutting down...
What do I need to change to make the system stable?The temperature is not a problem on 3Ghz(333x9) was not more than 62C on 100% load and on 3.2Ghz(400x8)is around 61C on 100% load
I think my system has good airflow there are 3 80mm Zalman fans blowing in cold air to my system behind my CPU cooler is a 120 mm Zalman fan taking hot air from CPU + I have a PCI slot sytem fan as well which is taking the warm air out straight from my graphics card..

Reset your BIOS so you get rid of the overclock completely, then put it at 3.0GHz again with 1.3v - see what temps you get with that. If they're good, try 3.2GHz with 1.3v and see what they're like then.

I think your voltage is too low or the board is just not stable with those overclocks.
 
OK.I have tried to add +0.0625V to CPU voltage make it 1.3028V but my pc is just keeps restarting.When I leave it on 1.296V then Windows starts up but turns off during gaming.Idle temps are around 38C on 100% load is 62C
 
If your PC is constantly restarting that's an indication that the board is unstable at those overclocks. Cabn you try a 3.0GHz overclock, or was that unstable too?
 
I`m using an MSI p7N SLI Platinum mobo which is a good overclocker.Somebody is getting 3.6Ghz with this board and the same CPU and the same cooler.
But maybe I should change the FSB voltage and NB voltage as well..Or I have read on different forums that if I go over 3Ghz the memory voltage should be changed as well..
 
Sometimes you get a bad batch of chips which do not overclock as well as others even though it's the same chip. Your Q6600 may not overclock as somebody else's Q6600 and your board could possibly be on the way out - it's pretty unlikely, that that may be the case.

One thing you could try doing is removing the cooler, re-applying thermal paste, and then reinstalling the cooler. The cooler may not be cooling the CPU properly. Worth a try?
 
Well I have tried to re apply the thermal paste and the temps are good so I think something is wrong with my voltage settings.I dont know how much extra voltage should I give to the CPU and VTT FSB and NB to make the sytem stable during gaming..
Because this problem comes up only when I`m gaming.With the 3.2Ghz overclock my PC running fine and passes the Intel Burn Test as well but when gaming it just keeps crashing..
 
Just out of interest, what power supply are you using and is anything else (such as your graphics card) overclocked too?
 
I tried first 3Ghz OC.Added +.025V to CPU core + little extra(min) to VTT FSB and NB.Left memory on stock.
Looks OK at the moment passed Intel burn test, no freezing and crashing during gaming but I have to test it with Prime95..
