Intel Q9450 or Q9300

Does these two processor really make big difference? Or the difference is unnoticeable? They are around 70 dollar difference. Should I go with Q9300 or it really worth to go to Q9450?
 
depends if you really need that kind of power.
i have a q6600 and i dont even need half of the performance it gives me...
if you are running cpu intensive applications and stuff then it may be worth it.
otherwise i wouldnt bother.
 
I have the 9300 and let me tell you this thing is FAST.

I wish I got the 6600 instead. Could of saved $150.

The most I ever used is like 45% of the CPU's capacity, and that with Excel, Word, Photoshop, five internet explorers and a movie playing.
 
Q9450 definitely. But wait, there will be a price drop coming soon. The Q9550 will be around $300 I believe.
 
Yes, hopefully before August 4th.

If before August 4th, ill get a Q9550, but if its after, ill have to get a Q9450.

Yeah, I wanted to get the Q9450 this week, but now I'm having second thoughts. I have paypal money burning a hole in my pocket. :P

Should buy yourself a wallet, then your pockets would be fine! :P

I'd get a Q6600, You can OC them pretty well, and I doubt you'd really see a difference in the performance.

yep q6600's love it.
i can overclock mine to 3.2 no problems.
havent tried any higher cos i dont even need it overclocked. have no use for the speed
