Intel Thermal Analysis Tool temps

hi..!
how accurate is this tool for my CPU intel C2D E6300, @stock speed?
it shows around 58 idle, although I use Arctic Freezer Pro 7 as heatsink. is that normal for idle?
sometimes I get half this temperature in everest. but it changes contantly there. so sometimes 58C, sometimes 29C. which one should I rely on?

Which motherboard do you have? There should've been a temperature monitoring tool which came on your motherboard drivers disk...
 
the temperature monitoring tool which came on your motherboard drivers disk reads the same as BIOS...
so, I dont know which one is accurate...
any suggestions?

did you put on thermal paste? that proccessor shouldn't be running at 58.
 
Intel TAT is the most accurate for the C2D, do not trust the BIOS as it can easily show you the wrong temps (like 19C for my oc'd Pentium D :P).
