Intel v amd

Hi ive recently been looking for a desktop computer which can play games like wow and sims 2 on high settings. I know alot about amd processors but not so sure about intel. Can anyone tell me which brand is better and what intel card is the same as the amd athlon 64 x2 5600+
 
I got the 5600+, but when I got it I didn't know I was going to overclock. Now I wish I had gotten in Intel. Make sure you know exactly what you will be doing with it.
 
all stock the 5600 is like the 6550, 6000/ E6600, 6400/ 6750.....

But intel can Overclock better but if your not overclocking and a oc junkie its up to you...

Sure. An Athlon 64 x2 5600+ is an great processor. You can stick with onboard with that then....

Investing in an CPU will not increase your performance if your stuck with an crappy GFX. You'll need an good GFX to pair with an good CPU.
