It's just a platform label, much link Centrino. If you take certain components and put them together with certain software they call it Viiv.Intel said:Intel® Viiv™ technology-based PCs are designed for digital entertainment and includes Intel hardware, software, verified devices, and verified services and applications. The PC provides the following benefits:
* Create, manage, store, share and enjoy your digital media from one central PC
* Download news, movies, music, games, and much more
* Access content from Intel Viiv technology verified content providers
* Sync digital media from your Intel® Viiv™ technology-based PC with your Intel® Centrino® Duo mobile technology-based notebook*
* Listen to home theater-quality audio with support for up to 7.1 surround sound
* Sync capability requires Intel® Viiv™ software version 1.5 or higher on your PC, plus a notebook with at least 500 MB hard drive space and Intel® Media Share Software.
