This board seems awesome. I like the fact that it is the only non-nVidia chipset board that can run SLI.

I'd point out that all the intel macs (well certainly the originals) use xeons. I don't personally know their strengths and weaknesses, but I'm running 2, 2ghz xeons and it's pretty quick in both osx and windows...

I have thought about buying one with 2x 2.8Ghz Quads... From what I hear they are super fast...

Oh no doubt, but pretty big money I'd imagine. I got mine back in september 06, and the fastest then was the dual, dual-core 3.0ghz; I can't imagine why you'd really need more than that though...

He doesn't need it...he wants it. Either setup would be great for our F@H team.
