Interesting OC fact

Well after a million tries, I finally got my e8500 to run Prime95 stable, no errors for 24 hours at 4.00ghz....

Reason for this,

Now, i was pretty pissed at myself when i realized what the problem was.

UNLESS you have every voltage set manual, its not going to run stable no matter what.

My fsb, voltage, mulitplier is the same as it was before but for some reason it works now. Only difference is that I have all the other voltages, even though i didnt have to change them, on manual set to what the defualts are. If i was to put them on auto, P95 would always have an error.

SO EVERYONE, if you OC, set everything to manual.. ABSOLUTELY nothing on auto for the voltages..

And I thought my chipset was just crummy.... I guess I was wrong.

I looked through my BIOS, I have CPU, RAM, NB, SB, and FSB Termination Voltage. I already have CPU and RAM set, where do I look to find what goes in the rest of em?

honeslty, my BIOS doesnt have NB or SB... Took my a while to realize that lol.. at the moment, for me to have 4.0 ghz, all i had to do was raise the vcore to 3.7.... and my CPU FSB to 1.2. I havnt had the need to touch any other voltage...

My bios looks very different (OptionBased) compared to others
