Internet browsers

Hello,i am connected to the internet through LAN ,I can receive emails in Outlook,can see that Skype is connected but when I open IE or Mozilla,
can't get any web page to open.

Any idea??
 
Only you get that problem ?..check your firewall like eztrog88 said, or it might be that your lan connects through a configuration script ?
 
Ah my brother had that problem...I forget how he fixed it.

Try going into Start > Run

Type in cmd
Type in ipconfig
Type in ipconfig/flushdns
Then type exit

Next try to open up a fresh new FireFox.
See if that helps.
 
I checked firewall but that'S not it.
I worked a few days ago and suddenly it stopped.
I will try Egs's recomendation today.

Didnt help.
I use my laptop without problem on wireless,but desktop which is wired can"t connect to internet through browser but Skype works so that's eliminate wire
 
i had this very same problem and i was on with tech support and i consider myself knowledgable when it come to computers and even tech support couldnt figure it out

resolution i restarted the piece of crap and it started working
