Internet Connection Sharing problem

I'm trying to share my crappy connection(dial up) with my brother's laptop i've enabled internet connection sharing but all we're able to do is share files in between computers, there's no internet connection with his laptop. The reason i want to do this is so if one computer's connected the other doesn't have to take the cord and plug it into their computer i just want them both to be connected without messing with any cords they will both be connected at once.

This is when i plug the ethernet cord into the labtop

When i try Windows Network Diagnostics it first resets the adapter then that doesn't fix the problem so i hit skip then there's this "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration"

I tried ICS on the laptop and i got the exact same problem.

Both computers have Windows 7(one 32bit the other 64bit)

Some Secondary questions

Question 1

Can i use a wireless router and use it with my ICS to broadcast a wireless dial up connection(I know weak but hey it's wireless lol)

Question 2

Can we both play a game on dial up if we're in the same game?(Not hard core games like mw2 something like an RTS game which i can do on one computer)

hehe i solved the wired problem, just deleted old adapter(dial up) and redid it all and it worked :)

LOL, i'm on it wireless now :P woo wireless dial up, it feels better :P no cords i'm just chillin in my living room lol
