Internet Explorer closing with error!

My internet explorer ALWAYS closes completely with an error box displayed after I attempt to send an email to my web-based work intranet. I can receive emails just fine, but anytime I try to send, the browser closes. It only closes when I try to send through my work intranet online, no other sites or pages.

I cannot receive any help from my organizations Help Desk because my personal desktop isn't authorized on the network. I want to use my own computer so that I can go home earlier and finish some emailing from home.

Any ideas? Browser setting? You can also email me at:

Reinstalled but nothing

I removed the latest version of Windows ( 7.0) and tried sending an email with the earlier version 6.0 with success in sending an email. However, when I reinstalled the 7.0 version again, the email was not sucessful. So, I guess it is a setting on the latest version of IE that needs to be changed somehow. Ideas anyone?

start>all programs>accessories>system tools.
run internet explorer from there and if it works, its a problem with an IE 7 plugin because opening it this way does it without any plugins

Worked withou Add ons

Ok, great...it worked without add-ons. Now, I have to reinstall plug ins. What is the best way to do that? Maybe a stupid question.

right, now we have narrowed it down. the version you just ran does not affect the actual IE7, its sort of a safe mode.
what you have to do is use trial and error in internet explorer settings with the plugins available under 'plugins'.
it may take a while, but you will get to the bottom of it.
what might help to no end is that i am assuming that you have no toolbars? (ie: google or yahoo) these things are DEATH to internet explorer. remove them if you have any and try then just to save you a bit of time
let us know how you get on
