Internet Explorer help!!

Hi everyone, when I close internet explorer the regular way it closes fine, but even when its off the screen it is still running on my process list. Can anybody help me fix this problem? Let me know, thanks alot.
 
Are you sure it's Internet Explorer running in processes or "Explorer"(OS running process which also displays your taskbar and start menu)?
 
have you got any minimize to tray apps/plugins installed/switched on in IE settings?

Also have you installed all the latest Service pack updates?

i'm not really sure, what to you mean minimize to tray apps? what are they called? someone before told me it could be ab add-on or active x?
 
it can be done through registry tweaking however there's plenty of softwares that can minimize any running apps to system tray instead of closing completely, which can be usful for programs such as Outlook so you can monitor incoming Emails etc.
 
hmm im not to sure, all i know is when i exit internet explorer it is still running in my process list. i was told an add-on can amke this problem happen? so how can i fix it? Thanks
 
nevermind, if i have 2 explorers open and i exit them both off, on will leave the process list and one stays on. so i guess i still have a problem
 
lol, I just checked mine in vista and it's doing it too!!

Must be a IE7 issue with maybe a Hotfix solution.

Anyone else have this issue???
 
ya maybe, i checked my version, it says i have version 6.0.2900? maybe if i updated internet explorer or soemthing would that help?
