I have Internet explorer 6.0 and it frequently crashes and i get the error message:

Internet explorer has encountered a problem.

I have tried alot of things to fix this including re-installing my os.

I also get the same problem when i run a flash site i get the error message:

Flash has encountered a problem and needs to close. I frequently re-install flash to fix this problem but it never works.

Could some please help me.

The Internet Explorer and Flash are probably making a conflict with one of the programs you have installed. Try using another browser other than Internet Explorer and see what happens.

Try also to re-install the operating system again and then install the flash player without any extra programs and see what happens, will it crash also or not. If it does not, then probably it's one of the programs you install after windows that make the conflict.

If this is not the case, sometimes this will be a memory address problem, I am not sure if this is the case with you or not, but memory address conflicts are rare.

i have recently re-installed my os due to this problem but the same thing keeps happening, could you recommend a good browser

thanks for the reply.

AMD Athlon 64 3200
1024mb ram
gigabyte k8 triton motherboard

the ram i brought from Ebuyer.com but at the time of building the pc i only had the money to buy the value ram, although i have no other problems with the ram so i am not sure whether to suspect the ram as the problem.
