Internet Explorer Problems--Java not working

for some reason javascript isn't working or something. because when i log into my hotmail account all of a sudden i can't click anything...or any other site that utilizes java...i have to resort to netscape..of which i am posting this msg.

but sometimes ie is the default browser and i really need to use it.

can any1 help me out?

i'm running win98SE, and IE 6 i believe....but when i click help and about...it doesn't even display what version it is.

generic answer - looks like you have spyware. install firefox. lol.


(have u tried installing the latest version of the java runtime?)
 
Yeah, what he said, Firefox is the best :D. But just make sure that you have java enabled on Internet Explorer >>> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Microsoft VM (or something like that).

the main advantages to firefox include, complete pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, no spam, spyware, and increased support for scripts, including java :D

the only dissadvantage i can think of is the high memory footprint, but if you have more than 128 MB of RAM then this does not apply to you :P

Now, all they need to add is complete support for ActiveX controls ;)
 
yes i think i do have spyware...where do i go about getting this firefox. And what do i do about IE being my default browser?....do i uninstall it or what?
