Internet "GUI" Messed Up After Running CCleaner

Hi,

I ran CCleaner at what I thought was a "safe" level. I had run it before at this "intensity" of cleaning, and never had a problem. This time, after running it, some websites appear jumbled, a lot of websites have missing graphics and missing images, and some websitses now show as "unavailable, try again later". It might have something to do with HTML? I don't know where to start. These same problems occur with SeaMonkey (my primary browser) as well as I Explorer. I have lost the settings from CCleaner, so can't tell you exactly what it was set to. I can make a fairly decent guesstimate, though.

Here's what I have done so far:

1. Removed CCleaner program from my computer

2. Went to "Event Viewer" and see an error message, within "Applications", which was displayed the first time I opened IE after the "cleaning". The error is as follows: "faulting application iexplore.exe version 7.0.6000.17110, faulting module mshtml.dll version 7.0.6000.17110, fault address 0x000987e2.

3. Downloaded and ran "Recuva", but don't know which files to restore, and where to put them?

4. Downloaded and ran "Restoration" version 2.5.14, but don't know which files to restore, and where to put them?

I deleted internet cache, but don't believe that that's the problem. Maybe somewhere, it deleted some vital files by mistake? I am at a complete loss, and don't know where to begin to recover what was done. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

CCleaner is so 'safe' and watered down I didn't think it possible for it to screw up a system. I've used it for years and never had an issue with it so I would say human intervention has caused this.
Try a system restore.
