Is there any way you can look at what you have been on on the computer, apart from going on tools, internet options, delete files/clear history. Can other people see anything you have been on the internet after you have deleted that????

Yeah done that but is there anymore things , because you can always see your internet history in like virus scans n stuff, is there anyway you can delete the history all together

hmmm dno, when your off the internet and your looking in files on your pc like in the system sometimes there are internet files, can you see all the things you have bin on in the pc in a 'certain folder'?

yeah, looking up porn, he made another thread in Desktop Computers, you should'e made a thread in Computer Security, no point of gettng rid of viruses if your gonna get infected again.

Most websites you go on will place a cookie in your Temporary Internet Files folder. Looking at the extensions after the @ symbol will give you a clue of what websites have been accessed. Those aren't normally deleted along with deleting offline content, but seperately.

I should stress even if you find and delete every trace of your internet movements, it would be very easy to 'undelete' them using file recovery software. If someone really wanted to find out what you've been doing, it wouldn't be hard unless you format the drive with a US DOD 5220.22-M wipe or something similar and reinstall.

Moral: Don't go on dodgy sites.

The easiest way for you to feel safe is probably by using an allround cleaner such as CCleaner. It can by one click erase every trace of your history such as temp files, autocomplete form history, caches, recent download location etc, just about everything you can think about really. It is free and can be downloaded here:

Doesn't anyone have a sense of humor these days? Of course, lets help him but it is kinda of fun...

having worked with teenagers as a technology teacher I have been asked lots of questions in regard to slow computers, IE history, spyware, trojans, etc. and I always amazed how they can so much when I get so little.
