i was using google to search my name and came across this site:
http://www.spokeo.com/

i was amazed it identified everybody in my family along with the home address. this info wasn't something that you'd give when registering in a forum.

question is what sources do these people use to get this info? gotta cover up my tracks.
 
I don't know. Reverse lookup has always been around though. For a small fee and more information.
 
Interesting, but the info isn't completely accurate. It came up with my home address and even pictures of my actual house. However, much of the accompanying data was missing or just plain wrong. For instance, it said I had 1 child but actually have 4.

It is kinda scary that someone could find that much info about you by simply knowing your name and what city you live in. If they got hold of your SSN they could find out lots more.

Interestingly, I put in several friends and got similar results to mine. However, I tried my sister and her husband and nothing was found for either of them.

Not sure there is anything you can do about it.

It's only good for the states and it looks like there are several people with the same name as me on the East side of the states.

That's not Wolfeymole by the way lol.
 
I'm glad it don’t work for the UK,...well at least did not find me anyway, Who wants all their info openly available for everyone to see such as Home address and that of family members?
Total lack of privacy..im surprised you guys allow that type of thing.
 
I agree, then i think the question is how did they get it.
Then again how do ya fix it or what can ya do about it.
Its scary.
 
Couldn't find me, but it found my dad. It only showed the 2 oldest of my siblings, not me or my other two younger ones. A little weird.
