Internet is extremely slow...

I have a 3mbps connection with Verizon and I just tested my connection speed, and I got a whopping 25.8kbps download rate on CNET.com's bandwidth test. What the heck is up with this? I'm having troubles just loading Google.com....

Ok, I disabled my wireless pci card and re-enabled it and I'm getting decent speed surfing the net, I'm going to run the bandwidth test again.

EDIT: Just scored a 562.8Kbps, which is still quite low.

I know this may be superstition, but back in the old days when I didn't have a router, having multiple 10/100 LAN cards in the same computer caused my downloads to stall before reaching 80%.

I disabled my wireless card a few times and I'm now getting much better bandwidth.
