A lot of sites are hosted in countries where the internet is not closely monitored. A lot of countries (usually poorer ones) do not have the resources available to track down the host and some countries just couldn't care less. Most illegal sites, like torrent sites, are hosted in countries where internet security is lax, or there isn't any internet security of any flavor.

your right. on the otherhand sites that sell modchips say for wii and or theft of satellite goes a little further. its one of those things you can buy but dont get caught using it. if its declared a pirate device and you bought it then you may be ok for now. another example would be you bought a pirate device for say satellite theft like dishnetwork and the site you bought it from got busted then i can promise U.S. marshall will confisicate all records, computers and possibly and likely find a trail back to you because of credit card, paypal accounts or what ever. what happens next.........federal civil lawsuit. trust me.......im positive.
one other thing. this crap about they have to prove you used it is BS.
Its about intent. thats different. you could have used it for illegal activity.
want to test federal court? got a deep wallet say maybe $3000 to start that may include and expert witness in your defense. when the day comes its time to goto battle. get out another $3000.00 for the jury. then ya take your chances. then if ya win you can counter sue for malicious prosecution and extortion.
just saying whats on my mind.

There will not be any links from me its just my m8 is starting one of therse sites & he thinks if he use's a server in Romaina to host al the "STUFF" on he wont get done even thow he says it will be members only but he is going to charge them so i thor he would get in deep ****.
