Hi, i know that it may not be relevant to this forum, but i dunno where to post. I hope some kind souls here can help me solve the prob.

the situation is that:
we got a linksys wireless router, and several co connected to the router.
all computer are working fine, able to surf net, check mails in outlook express.
but suddenly, all computers cant surf the net using IE browsers, but are able to log in msn messenger. but when a computer is directly connected to ISP without the router, it works. So i am suspecting is the router problem or virus hack.

Some of the things that we did:
got the latest router firmware and drivers, reinstall them.
type ip address instead of dns to try access the website
configure the firewall in router settings to disable. unblock any port
did a latest virus scan, but found no virus.
use proxy server at internet options.

But still cant solve the problem.

Any kind souls can tell help me? tks!

You should hit the reset button on your router. (If you have one). Then go and set your LAN settings to auto configure and set your connection settings to auto obtain ip automatically (Everything that can be set to auto do so)

See if that works.

He's already reset the router. It does sound like a firewall issue. Try turning all your firewalls off, including the one on your router. Then see if IE works.

To be honest, it's not that big of a loss. You're better off using a browser such as Firefox or Opera.

hi tks guys, i solved the prob using the most straight forward way. changed the router. linksys router suxxx
