Internet Not Working!

I have a computer that I just recently reformatted, and afterwards I installed Windows XP Professional. After going through the proper steps to install, I found that the internet wasn't working.

I have cable internet running directly into my computer, and I also have a D-Link wireless card I just installed the drivers for, and neither are working. When I go to Network Connections, it doesn't show any connections, working or not working.

The internet is working fine on other computers, and my internet worked fine before the reformat.

Do any of you have an idea on how to fix this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In my device manager, it doesn't even show that I have any wireless card, or wired internet. It doesn't say Ethernet Controller anywhere on the Device Manager, so I am confused as to why my internet is not plug-and-play. I have the drivers installed correctly, as before the reformat the same drivers worked fine.

I have my wireless working, I reset my router and it works. However, my wired internet still is not working!

Internet problem

Try to ping to another computer or to server, some time if the configaration of network is wrong it seems like ok but will not access any packet, if dbl click on network icon it will show u send and recieving packet, ther receiving or sending may be zero.. if its like this fix the network,
if u r using any proxy u have to assign that alos in IE prpertys,
If u using anyanti virus then alos u hase to allow port, latest antivrus will block all connection by default....

this are the chances............
