Internet or Website Problem?

I tried going to newegg.com but it keeps saying "Waiting for www.newegg.com" for a long time then it says Connection was reset, 3 of my friends can access the site just fine in like 2 seconds but I can't.
How to Fix?
Tried using CCleaner, Disk Cleaner, Clearing Data. Doesn't work =/
 
I assume that you're logged in to this website on the same computer? First, try using a different browser - Google Chrome or Opera would be fine. See if you can access it there.

If so, have you recently removed malware? Perhaps you should post a HijackThis! log and maybe i can better assist you.

Do you have a problem accessing *any* other website at all? Try connecting to newegg via a proxy to see if maybe they've blocked your IP - seems extremely unlikely. But check it out. Go to http://www.qlicq.eu/ and try accessing NewEgg from there (type 'newegg.com' in the bottom box and click 'surf now')

Post back and lemme know. :D
 
well you can always try to connect thru hidemyass.com and if it lets you connect that way, it means they have an ip block on your area/ip provider
 
Whoa going newegg on a proxie works o.o
and i tried going to newegg on IE doesnt work either
cant even access msn or clubbing.com

Well, try installing a new browser and see if you're able to access those sites through it - like Google Chrome or Opera.

The reason I ask you to try this is I believe that you either had/have some malware infections that were/are trying to redirect your browser when certain addresses are input into the address bar.

Please try accessing the sites from a new, freshly installed browser. If you are able to access the sites (which I'm willing to bet that you are) then please download TrendMicro's HijackThis! and post your log here and we can instruct you further on how to get your computer back to its normal status.

If you are not able to access newegg, etc in a freshly installed browser, then we know that you have other issues. Post back and await further instructions.

Also, are you behind a router? If so, unplug it for a minute or two and plug it back in. Then reboot your computer and try to access the websites again.

It's not a bad router, per so, it's just that, well ... these things happen. It's one of the many reasons that "Reboot" is one of the first steps in diagnosing computer problems. It puts the computer - or in this case the router - in a known clean initial state.

Ugh. Ok.

First, uninstall everything Norton/Symantec related via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Then download MalwareByte's Antimalware free version.

Reboot the computer into Safe Mode w Networking (when you see the logo of the computer manufacturer come up, start tapping F8 until a menu pulls up). Run MalwareBytes Antimalware and remove everything it finds.

Reboot into Safemode w Networking. Dee if you're able to access the sites that were previously inaccessible. Run HijackThis! again and post the log here and stay logged into Safemode w Networking and wait on orders ;).

Reboot into safemode w networking. Run hijackthis again and make sure none of these entries has "reappeared." Then open your browser and see if you can access the sites previously inaccessible.

Then post back. ;)
