Internet problem with new computer

I just got in a new computer from DigitalStorm that runs on Vista. I have a broadband cable connection that runs fine on my old XP computer. I set the home page to my cable company ISP on the new computer and it links to that site fine. However, almost every other address I type in or do a search I get the message: "Internet Explorer has stopped working". Under details it reads "Appcrash", fault module "Stack Hash_cb52.

Anyone have ideas what might be going on here.

Thanks

Are you running a router? Is your Windows updated with all the latest patches from MicroSoft? Is your IE updated as well?

I am not using a router, just a cable modem. The connection with the ISP works fine on my old XP computer.

I did an update of Vista programs and it downloaded that fine. However, it did not make a difference with the Applications crash.

I think Vista uses Inter Expl 7 and have not tired to see if there is an update for that yet.
