im running vista home premium on my desktop pc. the computers connected by wifi to my router and internet connected. sometimes i'm unable to access any websites through any browser, ive tried IE firefox and chrome, i am able to ping websites though and i get a reply so the internet connection is there, if i restart the computer everything works fine for a while then the problem occurs again, has anyone had the same problem??

i tried turning off all security programs such as zone alarm and avast but it doesnt fix the problem

I've experienced something similar. While using Firefox in Vista, I've had the "Cannot Display Page" message come up while browsing and then when I hit the refresh button, it fixes itself. This happens quite often actually and I cannot seem to figure out what is causing it. This has happened on two different routers I've owned.

Good luck fixing your problem!

i have the same problem. Im using windows XP home SP2. Sometimes, after surfing the net for a while, the internet connection would become screwed up, most of of the time, web browser display the msg "cannot display website" or something like that. refreshing it a few times would fix the problem but once i click on a link or something, would hv to re-re-re...refresh it again. it happens to both FF and IE. so i dont suppose its a problem with the OS or the web browser. other than that, im not sure what's causing the problem. and like you, restart my com would fix it.
