no, its not my internet thats the problem, i can play my PS3 online with no problems but its my computer that wont connect.

It sounds like your onboard nic card took a dump. Just buy a $10 ethernet card and put in an available pci slot and install driver if necessary. You should then have internet back.

I was just about to post "Buy an ethernet card"

I had the same problem when i got a new PC, thought the onboard ethernet on motherboard would work, but it didn't work at all. I just used an old card though.
