internet problems

Hello people,

I am having problems. I go on AIM (Instant messaging software), and someone keeps messaging me saying they are people they are not. Is there any way I can find out who it actually is? Like find out there user information. Please get back to me.

i have never used or even tried AIM but isn't there someway where you can view the contact details like MSN, like clicking on the person and view his personal space ?
 
The problem with AIM is you don't need to use any personal information to use it. As long as you have a screen name/password you can use it. I don't think there is anyway to find out, unless you view their personal page (not everyone has one) - but if they are saying they are someone they are not, chances are any personal page they have won't have accurate information. So, I don't think you can find out who they are unless they tell you.
