Internet/School/Truck Laptop

I need some advice about buying a laptop. I will use it for some college courses. I will also use it at home for internet use.(Online Brokerage account). I will also use it to take to the dragstrip to run vehicle tuning software. I don't know anything about computers so I'm not real sure how much computer I will need. I'm thinking something mid-size so it will be easier to read? I'm not a gamer so I don't think I will need anything to high powered.

I just need a laptop that will be reliable. I did a search and it seems people like Toshiba? I can get a discount through work on a HP, though? Could someone give me some examples(links) to some laptops that might fit my needs. I'm probably going to spend 6-900$. Thanks.

Hi. If you can get a discount through HP, I recommend a hp-compaq presario laptop. These are cheap but work great. I use mine for most of the same stuff you said. It comes with built-in wireless for when you are at college. I have the v5000 model and was only 600 through best buy. It comes with a 60gig hdd and 512megs of memory. It is really decent and I'm happy and have had no problems with it.
