Internet SLOW! Also stop error HELP

Hi guys,
My computer is running abnormally slow as of last week.
I've run Spybot,AdAware, Spy Sweeper and nothing serious found. Also ran AVG and AntiVir and found no viruses. When I ran a Panda Software scanner my hard drive started clicking and I got this error: kernel_data_inpage_error . Also I've been getting a 'Program not responding' window when I try to close some programs.

Nothing in the log that would cause that, more likely a hardware problem.

I was hoping you would respond to my post.
If I read you correctly your are saying the clicking and the stop error could be a hardware issue? Possibly the hard drive?
Any thoughts on the slowness of navigating from page to page at a snails pace?

Cache might be full try cleaning everything up with ccleaner.

Then I would clean up the registry and defrag the hard drive.

What browser are you using? What is your connection speed? Are you on cable or dsl?

PS: Also check your hard drive for errors if you are using windows xp select mycomputer> right click on c drive> properties> tools> error checking.

What are your system specs? If your computer is like a year old have you cleaned all the dust out of it? That will cause things to over heat.

im also having slow browsing problems and i keep getting critical error messages..should i instal an error programme?trouble is u have to pay for these and im not sure if this is the problem..nic

Buzz1927 had it right on one of my problems... My hard drive died friday morning 3.3.06 I have installed a new one yesterday and have also discovered what is making my system is so slow. My ISP is sending someone out this am to check the line. So, with all said, my computer should be fine once the repair man checks our phone line. It's amazing because I couldn't get them to admit to any problems on there end. Perhaps it was just novice techs on the phone with me.
Man, looks like I'm starting all over, which is not a bad thing really, just a small hastle.
