Internet slow

and its taking ages for any page to load up like myspace or something like that, is there anything that i can do to some how clean my connection or something like that? its taking me ages even with Gmail etc.

Any info just ask! cheers :)
 
Are you using cable internet? Because it's a shared connection, if alot of people around you are online and downloading, it's going to slow down your internet as well.

What i've always found helpful at times is resetting the modem when the internet starts becoming very slow. Although that usually only happens when i'm downloading lots of files at once for a long period of time.
 
yes it should help.
The best way to to this is on order shut down all computers and unplug the power from you router if you have one and your modem for 2 or 3 min.

plug the power back in to your modem and let it boot completely ( takes less then a min, you will know when it is booted completely the LEDs will get steady and stop the fast blinking of booting up )
then plug the power into you router and let it boot completely if you have one
then boot up your computers

Also, what type of internet do you have. (speed) You could try using a leaner web browser like firefox and opera. Firefox will also have add-ons that can help eliminate useless images and ads on the page and possible reduce loading times.
 
What omega described (turning of the modem) is power cycling. You don't typically have to keep it off for 2 minutes,(least not with my modem) I just unplug, plug back in and it works like new.

I was going to recommend TCP optimizer but the site ETSA linked to is the same thing. You should check it out, it may improve your speed a bit! :)
